A vertex is the highest point: the apex of a roof, the top of a lantern. It is where we work. Vertex Skylights fits roof lanterns, flat rooflights, roof windows, conservation and walk-on rooflights and sun tunnels, and replaces the ones that have misted, yellowed or worn out.
The idea
Straight up is clear
A side window looks at whatever stands beside the house: the fence, the neighbours, the trees. The sky directly overhead is the one view nothing in the street blocks, and a rooflight faces it. That is why our surveys begin with the sky over the room and only then turn to the catalogue. Our page on why straight up is clear explains it properly.
How we work
Four things we hold to
- Look up first. The survey starts with the sky over the room, not with a brochure.
- The right product for the roof. Flat, pitched, lantern, walk-on or tunnel: the roof decides, and we say why.
- A price that holds. We survey before we price, and the written quote does not change on the day.
- Done properly, signed off. Installed to current Building Regulations, the Building Control notification handled where the work is notifiable, the inside finished, and a 10-year workmanship guarantee in writing.
Where
Milton Keynes and the towns around it
We work across the city, from Bletchley and Wolverton to Stony Stratford and the newer estates, and out to towns such as Newport Pagnell, Olney, Buckingham, Bedford and Aylesbury. We have no public premises; every survey happens at your home. The full list is on our areas page.
Who for
Homes first, small jobs welcome
We work for homeowners first, and we are happy to look at small commercial jobs too. Whatever the building, the survey and the written quote are free.
