What a cookie is
A cookie is a small text file that a website saves on your phone or computer. It lets the site remember a choice or recognise a return visit. Some cookies are needed for a feature to work. Others record how a site is used.
Cookies on our own pages
Our own pages set no advertising or tracking cookies. The pages about our skylight and rooflight work, our guides and our answers are plain reading pages.
Cookies from the enquiry form and the map
Two features bring in services run by other companies, and those services may set their own cookies.
- The enquiry form is provided by a customer management service. It may set cookies to deliver the form and to protect it from automated abuse.
- The map on our contact page loads map tiles from a mapping provider, which may receive your IP address and browser details when the tiles load.
These companies control their own cookies and explain them in their own policies.
Controlling cookies
Every major browser lets you see, block or delete cookies in its settings. Blocking them will still let you read the site, though the enquiry form may not work. If it does not, our phone number is 01908 596268, our WhatsApp number is 07880 284133 and our email address is info@vertexskylightsmiltonkeynes.co.uk, and we will take your details that way.
The Information Commissioner's Office publishes plain guidance on managing cookies.
