Step two
We survey the room and the roof
At your home we look up first: what the room sees overhead and where glass could face open sky. Then we look at the roof covering, its pitch or falls, the rafters or joists, the loft or ceiling void, and how we would reach the roof safely. We measure, and we agree the position and size with you.
Step three
You get a fixed written quote
The quote sets out the product, the glass, the structural work, the weathering and the internal finish. It is the price you pay: it does not change on the day. There is no obligation to go ahead.
Step four
Fitting and sign-off
On the day, the room below is protected, the opening is cut and trimmed, the rooflight goes in and the roof is made weathertight. Inside, the opening is lined, insulated and plastered. For notifiable work we make the Building Control notification, and the job carries our 10-year workmanship guarantee in writing.
